The Spanish Academy opened in 2001, and we teach Spanish to children ages 12 months - 10 years and adults.  The Spanish Academy is Atlanta's first Spanish preschool & kindergarten. We offer a Total Immersion Preschool and bilingual Kindergarten with an excellent academic curriculum with a low student to teacher ratio. Our teachers are native speakers so our students learn to speak Spanish with a native tongue.  Our goal is to offer  while helping children master proficiency in Spanish. 

Our Philosophy

Our school strives to provide a quality educational experience to children of all races, faiths, and nationalities. Every child will be treated in a positive, warm, and loving manner. Children pass through various stages of growth and development, and we know that each child’s development is uniquely his/her own and will be handled as such. We want the time children spend at The Spanish Academy to be enjoyable, fruitful, and fun.

Children learn through hands-on activities in which they are allowed to mature and develop at their own pace. Our curriculum is based on developmentally appropriate and success oriented learning experiences. We believe educational, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development should take place with an even balance in each area.

If a child is having fun, he/she will learn anything. Each child will be given the chance to grow and develop at his/her own pace.

Our goal is to offer an outstanding curriculum with a high level of academic excellence and to create an atmosphere in which children will experience the joy of learning and look forward to coming to school each day while developing a proficiency in Spanish.
